The loop is laser cut from stainless steel and TIG welded on top. A carabiner can be directly hooked on, unlike an eye bolt threaded into the handle that requires a lead line. The loop on top is also far stronger than an eye bolt, and you can adjust the jaw opening without disconnecting the pull line.
